Job Purpose:
The Senior Associate – Risk Advisory (Financial Analysis & Modelling) will support the delivery of risk-based advisory projects with a strong emphasis on financial modelling, forecasting, and quantitative analysis. The role will involve working with clients across industries to design and implement decision-support tools, assess financial risks, and develop strategic models that support business performance, risk mitigation, and compliance. The role requires a strong blend of technical, analytical, and client-facing skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Risk Advisory & Consulting
Assist in delivering end-to-end risk advisory engagements including enterprise risk management (ERM), internal control reviews, and process improvement.
Support the design and implementation of risk frameworks aligned with regulatory and business requirements.
Participate in the documentation and evaluation of internal controls and risk management practices.
2. Financial Analysis & Modelling
Develop and maintain complex financial models for valuations, scenario analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and investment appraisals.
Perform in-depth financial statement analysis, ratio analysis, and trend evaluations to support business advisory projects.
Conduct risk assessments and sensitivity testing to identify and quantify financial and operational risks.
Support clients in developing capital planning, cash flow modelling, and business case analysis.
3. Client Engagement & Delivery
Liaise with client teams to understand business needs and translate them into actionable insights and deliverables.
Prepare high-quality reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Present findings and recommendations to clients in a clear and compelling manner.
4. Team Collaboration & Development
Work collaboratively with Risk Advisory, Tax, and Audit teams on multidisciplinary assignments.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing across the division.
Participate in training programs and continuous professional development initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, Accounting, or a related field.
Professional qualification such as CPA, CFA, ACCA, or CIMA is required.
A postgraduate qualification (MBA, MSc Finance or related) is an added advantage.
Minimum of 4–6 years of relevant experience in financial modelling, risk advisory, or transaction advisory in a professional services firm or financial institution.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modelling tools; knowledge of Power BI, Python, or R is an added advantage.
